1.  School : General information and Academic Administration
After observation, please write e report about school general information and its academic administration according to topics as follows :
1.1    School Profile

Marikina Elementary School was established in 1914 during the American occupation. In 1915, Catalino Cruz, the president of Marikina goverment paved the way for the establishment of intermediate classes.  From then on the school was known as Marikina Elementary School.
The historic Gabaldon building is its famous landmark since 1993. The school catered average-income families around barangay Sta. Elena and its neighboring barangays.
However, building became dilapidated and some of them were eventually demolished. That's why, in 1995, Mayor Bayani Fernando, the city mayor, constructed a 3-storey building with 30 classrooms on the western side. Another building was constructed under the leadership of Mayor Maria Lourdes Fernando on the eastern side. Both buildings were named after them.
At present, the BF and MCF buildings are connected and a dome is used as venues for so many city, DepEd and school activities. The Gabaldon part is used as an office for the District and the school repair and maintenance group. Said building is awaiting restoration.

According to the teaching plan of the school, the teachers use the curriculum as the basic point to arrange and set it in learning process. In the student learning is continously measured during teacher intructions.
2.2     Learning Materials and Innovation
The teachers are more independent for the selecting of textbooks and learning materials, whatever software or electronic devices. What to be considered is that all learning materials have to align with the Basic Education Core Curriculum
2.3     Sources of Learning and Technology
I think, the sources of learning and technology in the school are advance enough because of the creatitivy of teacher tools and the school facilities for supporting learning system. For example, the school provides many books for students and teachers as the references as well as entertainment, the teaching kits that school gets from the goverment for the teacher creating learning material, computer, proyectors, television and microphone-speaker.
